Revved Up Outdoors: JDM-HI × Ohana Motorsports Customer Appreciation Event
Island car fans, mark your calendars and ready your rides! On August 3 from 10 a.m.--3 p.m., the Ohana Motorsports Foundation is bringing the Japanese Domestic Market scene outdoors -- an open-air parking lot takeover at Ko‘olau Center. Expect epic rides, community vibes, prizes, and more -- all set against those big island skies.
What's Happening?
- JDM showcase under the sun We're taking it outside -- no indoor space, just your ride gleaming in the open air. Expect everything from kei-trucks and vintage SUVs to tuner icons, all parked side by side.
- Hot Wheels filming on-site A team will be rolling through to film select vehicles for a special Hot Wheels feature. This is your shot at toy-car fame!
- No on-site registration All participants must pre-register online -- there will be no registration tables or fees at the event location.

Hot Wheels Selects JDM Hawaii for Upcoming Documentary
A Local Brand Honored for Making JDM Car Culture Accessible to Hawaii's Communities
Honolulu, Hawaii -- JDM Hawaii is proud to announce that it will be the focus of an official documentary produced by Hot Wheels, celebrating the company's five-year journey as a pioneer in Hawaii's growing JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) car culture.
Founded in 2020, JDM Hawaii has become a household name across the islands by specializing in K-class (kei) vehicles--small, affordable, fuel-efficient cars and trucks imported from Japan. With a mission to make JDM ownership accessible to the average consumer, JDM Hawaii has helped build a movement rooted in community, culture, and affordability.
One of its key achievements is the launch of Sky Auto Repair, Hawaii's only dedicated JDM repair facility, specializing in rare parts, expert repairs, and support for imported vehicles that most shops can't service.
"This isn't just about cars--it's about people," said a JDM Hawaii spokesperson. "Sky Auto Repair and our entire team work every day to keep the community running."
Hot Wheels will be filming on Oahu, capturing the real stories behind the cars, customers, and culture. The film will highlight how JDM Hawaii has made a lasting mark on the local automotive scene--right from the heart of the islands.

To celebrate, JDM Hawaii will host a Customer Appreciation Event at Ko' oalau Center. The Hot Wheels documentary crew will be in attendance, filming the event to showcase Hawaii's love for JDM vehicles and the vibrant, welcoming community behind them. Come join us for an awesome collaboration event with JDM Hawaii and Hot Wheels at Koolau Center on Sunday, Aug 3rd, 2025 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.Hot Wheels will be documenting the JDM culture here on Oahu, and JDM Hawaii will be hosting a customer appreciation event with prizes and awards.All are welcome to come out, but only JDM and Kei trucks will be eligible for prizes and awards.Proceeds gathered from this event will go to help the Hawaii Little League team currently competing at nationals.
